How to get there: Ballycotton is located east of Cork city on the national route N25 (main Cork to Waterford road). In the town of Castlemartyr, turn at the bridge onto the R632 route in the direction of the villages of Ladysbridge and Garryvoe. From Garryvoe, follow the signs for Shanagarry and Ballycotton.

Nearby: Visit the Jameson Whiskey Centre or Cobh Heritage Centre or take a trip to Fota Island with its arboretum and wildlife park. For a more active day out, try sea angling and the challenge of shark, skate and conger.
